Bitkey is designed under three pillars: two of these are the device and the application, which in recent months has been perfected by its developers and is now available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The third pillar of Bitkey is its security system, which consists of storing a part of the users’ private key on cloud servers. This means that if users lose both their phone and device, they can recover their funds using the “Trusted Contacts” tool, which relies on people known to the user to verify their recovery request. In addition, they will also have a tool called “Emergency Access”, which allows users to have control over their bitcoins if something were to happen.
